You can access the same investment vehicles that are available “onshore” or choose from a vast universe of offshore investment managers that are not provided to domestic investors.
We’ve developed a range of offshore and onshore savings and investment opportunities for our clients, or if you prefer specific investments recommended by your current investment counsel then we will accommodate those requests if possible. From within your Treasury Account you have access to the world’s leading investment managers; you can rely on our wealth of global experience to help you make the right investment decisions.
We will customize a cash management plan for you to cover your liquidity needs, from day-to-day cash flow to long-term investing. You have access to all your capital all the time, so if your needs fluctuate then we restructure your plan on the go.
Our objective is to make all your money work for you; many banks will let you park funds without any guidance on where to invest it to maximize your returns. We will work with your current legal, accounting and investment counsel to create optimum structures for you, your family or your business. We encourage you to maintain investment counsel if you currently use someone you trust and have established a relationship with, as in all investments, they will continue to be compensated for their services. You do what you do best; leave the capital management up to us!
Zero Interest Bearing Account
All funds inbound to or outbound from First Global move from this account. You decide to leave them short-term if required for outbound payments or re-allocate to money market or other investments. We review these accounts weekly and submit reminders that you have balances which could be earning you more.
Most clients do not require more then 10% or 15% of funds to sit here for any given period, so we will encourage you to enhance returns on every surplus dollar.
Money Market Fund
This is the fund that you will use the most, as it is 100% stable and 100% fully liquid. Our suggestion is to park as much here as you can earn interest and retain the ability to fund outbound wires or card loads. Once we have designed an investment plan for you, then the money market will be used as you allocate to other options your comfortable with.
Long-Term Funds
As is the nature of long-term funds they do fluctuate on a regular basis, so it is important that you always take this into consideration. If you know that you will have a need for your funds, those monies will not be allocated here. Once we have worked out a cash management plan, the percentage of assets agreed on that can take some fluctuations over time will be placed with a well known global money manger.
These managers must have long-tern proven returns before we will allow clients assets to be invested with them, so if we would not place our own funds there then you can be assured we will never recommend you do. Safety, proven history, stability, and a good selection of investment options are the things we look for in global money managers.
Private Equity Placements
For those that are comfortable to incorporate a higher degree of risk in their portfolio with the understanding that there is larger chance of loss that could offset the potential for larger gains, then private equity placements are a good option.
By default due to the nature of managing money for clients we come across some very good opportunities that we would invest our own corporate funds into, these are the same investments we would offer to select clients. However the approval process is very strict and these investments are offered only to sophisticated investors.

As mentioned above, our goal is to maximize your return on assets you have placed with us. We want to keep you as a client for decades to come, and that entails looking after your capital management plan as if you were our only client.
